The <OnlyFangs> Guild Faces Major Decisions as Raid Logging Era Begins
Days after announcing a guild meeting set for Wednesday at 1 PM CST, Sodapoppin’s raid team is now preparing to discuss the future of their WoW Classic Hardcore operations.
In a Discord message posted on February 14, Sodapoppin confirmed that after back-to-back Molten Core clears, the guild won’t need to run it again for a while—marking a shift toward the raid logging meta.
“For now, good job. We did back-to-back MCs so we won’t need to run it again for a while and we won’t be missing any lockouts,” he wrote.
With the grind slowing down, the guild meeting will address key questions about raid structure, loot distribution, and long-term goals.
What’s on the Agenda?
Among the topics up for discussion:
- Auction house usage and how the guild handles in-game economy decisions.
- Molten Core strategy—whether to continue with drafted raid groups or switch to a system based on player gear needs.
- The balance between hardcore optimization and a more casual raid environment.
Sodapoppin admitted he wasn’t sure if a vote would be necessary but confirmed that “big important decisions” will be made.
Raid Logging is Here—Now What?
With MC on farm status, players now face two choices: level alts to prepare for Blackwing Lair (BWL) or return to variety gaming while maintaining their commitment to raids.
“This is raid logging now,” he stated, urging players to keep showing up when needed. And for those wondering about their Valentine’s Day plans? “Enjoy Valentine’s Day weekend unless you’re a lonely loser then get back to work.”
With Wednesday’s meeting approaching, the guild’s direction remains uncertain—but one thing is clear: decisions made this week could shape the future of the raid team.

OnlyFangs Guild Lifts Mob Tagging Ban
As you may have noticed, some players have been leveling quicker than before. This is because, almost a week ago, Sodapoppin, the leader of the OnlyFangs guild in WoW Classic Hardcore, made a surprising announcement: Mob tagging is now allowed.
In a Discord post on February 9, Sodapoppin addressed the state of the guild, stating that morale was low and the leveling phase was essentially over. As a result, he declared that he would no longer police how players leveled their characters. “So u can lvl with whoever and however u want,” he wrote, effectively lifting the long-standing restriction on mob tagging within the guild.
Rules Still in Place
While this change gives players more flexibility in how they reach level 60, not all rules have been abandoned. Sodapoppin made it clear that trading restrictions and auction house limitations are still being enforced, ensuring that certain Hardcore principles remain intact.
Community Reactions
The decision has sparked mixed reactions among the Hardcore community. Some players welcome the relaxed approach, arguing that the early-game grind was slowing down guild progression. Others believe this change undermines the Hardcore spirit, as mob tagging is often seen as an easy way to bypass some of the game’s natural leveling challenges.
Regardless of where players stand on the issue, one thing is certain: OnlyFangs just got a whole lot faster.
Stay tuned for further updates as the Hardcore meta continues to evolve.

Pikaboo Tries to Roach, Ends Up Toast—A Hardcore Uldaman Disaster
The World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore community witnessed another devastating loss as streamer Pikaboo met his fate in Uldaman. While underleveled, he and his party found themselves overwhelmed by the dungeon's mobs. In true "roach" fashion, Pikaboo attempted to escape alone, abandoning his team to save himself. However, panic took over as he ran in the wrong direction, missing a crucial safe spot—often referred to as a "roach spot"—where he could have avoided death.

Tyler1's OnlyFangs Guild Raid Ends in Disaster
Tyler1’s highly anticipated raid with the OnlyFangs guild in World of Warcraft Hardcore Mode ended in chaos, culminating in his character’s permanent death. The incident, which occurred during a battle against Baron Geddon on February 7, left the popular streamer frustrated and announcing his departure from the game.
From Triumph to Tragedy
Just days before the disaster, on February 2, OnlyFangs achieved a historic victory by defeating Ragnaros in the Molten Core raid. The guild, founded by Sodapoppin and co-led by Tyler1, had built a reputation for its disciplined and strategic gameplay. In that run, they lost six members.
Encouraged by their performance, Tyler1 set his sights on obtaining the legendary weapon Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker. However, those ambitions came to a screeching halt when disaster struck during their latest raid.
The Baron Geddon Incident
During a crucial encounter with Baron Geddon, multiple players in the raid ignored Tyler1’s commands and ran away from the fight, leading to the death of some unfortunate players. Since this was Hardcore Mode, death meant permanent character deletion. Tyler1, one of the casualties, was furious at his team for their lack of coordination.
Following the catastrophe, Tyler1 announced he was quitting the game, stating that his guildmates’ failure to listen had ruined the experience for him. The moment was captured live on his stream, with thousands of viewers witnessing his rage and disappointment.
What’s Next for Tyler1?
With his Hardcore WoW journey cut short, it remains unclear whether Tyler1 will return to the game or move on to another challenge. Many fans speculate that he might take on a new game or shift his focus back to competitive gaming.
Regardless of his decision, Tyler1’s short but intense Hardcore WoW adventure has already left a lasting impression on the community, proving once again that the stakes in Hardcore Mode are as high as they come.

Ziqo Woefully Unprepared for Tonight’s Raid with Tyler1 at the Helm
Tonight’s highly anticipated raid, led by none other than the high-energy, no-nonsense leader Tyler1, is already shaping up to be a disaster—at least for one unfortunate participant: Ziqo. Reports from sources close to the team indicate that Ziqo is severely underprepared, and with Tyler1's infamous short fuse, it’s only a matter of time before chaos erupts.
Lack of Preparation, Lack of Hope
Ziqo’s last-minute attempts to get ready have reportedly been questionable at best. Witnesses claim he was seen scrambling to gather essential raid materials just hours before the event, fumbling through old gear, and even Googling basic mechanics while others were fine-tuning their strategies. One teammate, who wished to remain anonymous, stated:
"He doesn’t even have his consumables ready. I saw him asking in guild chat if anyone had extra potions. It’s embarrassing."
Tyler1’s Wrath Incoming?
If there’s one thing Tyler1 is known for, it’s his explosive leadership style. With a no-excuses, high-intensity approach, he demands absolute focus and preparation from his team. When informed of Ziqo’s apparent lack of readiness, Tyler1 reportedly responded with an expletive-laden tirade before composing himself and declaring:
"If this dude griefs my raid, he’s getting PERMA-BANNED from my runs. No second chances."
Disaster or Redemption?
Despite the odds stacked against him, Ziqo still has a slim chance to turn things around. If he somehow manages to pull his weight—or at the very least, avoid any major blunders—he might just escape Tyler1’s wrath unscathed. But if history is any indication, we may be about to witness one of the most legendary meltdowns in raid history.
Stay tuned. This is going to be a wild one.

OnlyFangs Raid Draft: Who Will Make the Cut?
The OnlyFangs guild in WoW Classic Hardcore is holding a raid draft for their first-ever Molten Core raid on February 1, 2025. This event is shaping up to be one of the most unique and high-stakes raids in WoW Classic Hardcore history.
Who Will Make the Cut?
The raid roster is limited to 40 players, but unlike traditional hardcore raids, 30 out of the 40 spots are reserved for "non-sweats"—players who have never raided Molten Core in Classic WoW before. This means the selection process is highly competitive, as veteran players must prove their worth to secure one of the 10 "sweat" spots available.
Key Raid Details
- Raid Leaders: Sodapoppin & Tyler1
- Roster Composition: 10 experienced players, 30 newcomers
- Main Goal: A deathless Molten Core clear
- Unique Challenges:
- No Paladin buffs (Horde-side)
- Limited world buffs
- Self-farmed consumables required
The Draft Process
Players are competing for limited spots through a mix of performance, dedication, and preparation. Some of the deciding factors include:
- Attunement completion (MC & Onyxia)
- Contribution to guild farming efforts (potions, materials, etc.)
- Class & role needs (some classes may have priority)
- Personal survivability track record in Hardcore
- Rep with the Warchief (how hard have you glazed each warchief?)
- View count
Hyped Players & Drama
Big names like Tyler1 and Sodapoppin are leading the raid, making this event highly anticipated. With such a high-risk, high-reward format, tensions are running high as players wait to see who makes the final cut. Will the "non-sweats" rise to the challenge, or will the raid crumble under pressure?
